Learn about health sciences resources for mobile devices — primarily point-of-care and other clinical tools, both licensed and free. Although we will use iPhones/ iPads/iTouches as examples, the resources are also available for other devices, such as Blackberries.

What are journal impact factors and why do they matter? And just who is citing your work? Attend this session, which will focus on Scopus and Web of Sciences to find out!

Advanced Google
Wednesday, May 25 or Tuesday, June 14, 12:00 – 12:45 pm

There’s much more to Google than just that little search box! This session will cover how to use special search commands to fine-tune your Google searches. We’ll also take a look at Google Books and Google Scholar. Need to keep track of your favourite journals? We’ll take a brief look at using Google Reader to monitor tables of contents and saved database searches.

All sessions will be held in the Health Sciences Library Computer Classroom from 12:00 – 12:45 pm. Pre-registration not required.
